thank you for your kind words! If you couple it with your phone, it can get to 3400x+! (it multiplies the magnification when you use your phone's zoom)

Can we use these lens in original foldscope?
Only the 2.0 has interchangeable lenses. The foldscope classic has only the 140x lens
Hey foldscope thanks this video solved most of my problems but i am facing an issue: In my foldscope's manual it is said that i have to stack 2 slides on the sample slide like insert 3 slides together please clear my confusion on what is the correct way to do it.
Yes, this is only for paper slides if you would like for your sample's thickness to be like the thickness of a glass slides, but it is not needed

What magnification does your one gives, mine is 140x. I think your's is more, is it?
When you couple it with your phone and use the zoom feature, the magnification multiplies!
What happens when we run out of stickers
you can use clear tape
1. How do you attach the coupler the phone lens? Do you use scotch tape? 2. My phone has three lenses, which one is the right one for the Foldscope?
yes, you can use tape to tape it on the sides (make sure you don't cover the hole in the center). And if you have more than three lenses, you tape it to the dominant camera lens of your phone.
@@FoldscopeInstruments Thank you. Which one is the dominant camera? I searched all over UA-cam but can't find a tutorial to teach me which is the main. Is there a way to figure out for different cellphones?
@@lauras7108 yes, there is. You can turn on the camera and cover the lenses in turn with your finger. If you see the picture turn dark because you just covered the lens, you know which one is active right now. In a Foldscope workshop I recently held, some users had issues with the newest iPhones. Those switched camera lenses if one was covered by either a finger or a Foldscope phone couple in a well meant attempt to find an unobstructed lens. In this case, you have to cover all remaining lenses with tape, to force it to use the camera lens with the phone coupler attached to it.
@@jot-entdecken Awesome, thanks! The wobbling issue you talking about in this video happens only with Foldscope 2.0 or is it possible to have similar issues with Foldscope 1.0 depending on the type of cellphone?
@@MuseodelOrigami Even though I would not use the word "wobbling", the issue with your phone switching the active camera (because it's not designed with Foldscopes in mind) to use one of the unobstructed cameras might occur with every microscope (including Foldscope 1 and 2) you put in front of one of the cameras.
Hey foldscope please help me I am not getting this bright and clear picture. Also in your foldscope at home: newspaper video you have kept spacer slide on wrong side so please clear the confusion.

Hello foldscope I am planning to buy myself a foldscope but i have a doubt. See the slides and coverslips that you sell on your website are a bit costly. So i just wanted to clear if any external slide and coverslip works with it. Specifically talking about the foldscope classic.
yes, regular glass slides and coverslips work - just make sure to fix the coverslips to the glass slides after adding them so they won't fall

We recommend to adjust the focus using the Focus ramp, also, make sure you are inserting the sample the correct way and with the sample facing the lens

Why is it too costly as compared to original one? 3. Are there any image quality difference between og and 2.0? 4. Why are you only concentrating on foldscope 2.0? Most Indians wont spend 1500 INR on paper microscope 500 INR was okay so please would you make videos about original too?

Hello Foldscope❤ I really loved your brilliant products, and i decided to buy one for me, that is the ordinary foldscope. But i have a few problems and I'm looking forward to your response: 1) my foldscope is sometimes when i put the paper slide without putting the spacer slide, it seem to be good at X axis movement, but when i try moving the Y axis, sometimes the slide even moves with the foldscope's movement and i really don't like that. 2) when i tried the glass slide, it was even worse because the cover glass moved with the foldscope to, so i had to paste it by the tape and it's actually worked. 3) this is the thing that makes me disgusting most, when i tried the glass slide, it's nearly impossible to see the object, the focus ramp didn’t work to, so i had to remove it and it looks better. I tried to puss the lens while seeing and the object was clear. That is such a good product becau i tried seeing drinking water and see some dust, but it actually inconvenient because of these problems. I hope you guy can solve that for me, thank you very much ❤❤

Hi, you can use clear tape instead of a cover slip (not of a glass slide). And you don't need the LED light, you can use natural light or any other light source (lamp, phone, etc.)
😮, I don't have the glass slide but i am gonna try a tape on other (looks like i can't explain clearly) *but the thing i wanted to ask is* what did u put on the leaf that looks like nail polish 💅? Is it water or any chemical?
